Expecting a baby? Congratulations! This prenatal yoga class is the perfect fusion of yoga, hypnobirthing and birthing techniques to help you feel calm and confident during your pregnancy and as you approach the birth of your baby.
Each week, I will guide you through yoga sequences, designed specifically for second and third trimester of pregnancy, to keep you active and feeling strong throughout your pregnancy. The postures and transitions have been carefully sequenced, with each class based around a theme with practical birthing and hypnobirthing techniques weaved into each class. The yoga postures and movement provide maximum benefit in relieving common symptoms, aches & pains, including back pain and pelvic discomfort while supporting freedom of movement in the body throughout your pregnancy.
In addition to the main yoga sequence, we will also be bringing positive birth ideas to mind, encouraging a deeper connection with your baby and preparing you for a strong and empowering birth, however you choose to birth your baby.
week-by-week I will guide you through a series of practical hypnobirthing techniques that you can use during your pregnancy and the birth of your baby. These include breathing techniques, visualisations, affirmations and more! Some of these techniques can even be taken beyond your pregnancy and birth experience to support calm and mindfulness during motherhood too.
I also include information on that all important hormone oxytocin, the pelvic floor and exercises you can practice, how to use a birthing ball during pregnancy and labour and other topics that help you to prepare for birth physically and mentally.
You may be surprised that many of the techniques can be beneficial to all types of birth. So whether you are planning a homebirth, hospital birth with pain relief or you are electing to have a caesarean, there is something to take away from every class!
New for 2026, there will be 15 minutes of social time at the start of class followed by 45 minutes of yoga which means you will have the opportunity to connect with other pregnant mothers locally and start building your village.
Our location is easily accessible from Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Epping, North Weald, Roydon, Waltham Abbey, Cheshunt, Ongar and other surrounding areas.
You do not need to have any yoga experience to reap the benefits of a pregnancy yoga practice. I provide mats and blocks so you just need to bring yourself and a bottle of water. There's free parking too!
